At long last, this weekend (Oct 7th and 8th), the annual Smokin’ in the Square Barbeque Contest is being held. This event is always a great time for the whole family. The format has changed a little from the past, but they still do the ‘People’s Choice’ tastings so everyone gets an amazing opportunity to sample a wide variety of really good barbeque.
We won 2nd place for ribs some years ago, and hope to place this year. We will be setting up on Friday afternoon and barbequing! Bring your favorite refreshment and join us. We will have a lot of Krewe stuff at our site. Come on out and have a good time. This is a great recruiting event for our krewe.
