The Krewe of Blues was well represented at last night’s Kickoff for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer at the ballroom at Sanders Beach. Mary and Tim Mattheiss, David and Laurie Sweet, as well as Bill and Landi Garner all enjoyed the snacks and lemonade.
This event signals the start of two months of effort to raise money for and awareness of Breast Cancer.
Landi’s Krewe of Pink was well represented and contributed greatly to the overall success of the night. True to Krewe of Blues standards, the ‘Krewe of Pink’ helped with set up and tear down for the event.
This year’s event featured a young lady who could really sing and ‘Real Men Wear Pink’ were recognized as well!
Through the years, Making Strides has raised a tremendous amount of money for this incredible cause. If you haven’t yet signed up for the Making Strides Walk on Oct 29th, please consider doing so now. It’s a great time for a great cause.
